Yagyopavit Sanskar

For spiritual initiation, discipline, and beginning of sacred learning.

About this Puja

Yagyopavit Sanskar, also known as Upanayan, is a sacred initiation ceremony where the individual receives the janeu (sacred thread) and begins a life of discipline, learning, and spiritual awareness.

The ritual begins with sankalp, followed by Ganesh and rishi pujan. The individual undergoes purification rituals and is then given the sacred thread. Gayatri mantra initiation is performed, and a small havan completes the ceremony.

Devotees choose this ceremony to mark the beginning of responsibility, education, and connection to spiritual practice.
