What does 24 kt gold foiling mean?
A thin layer of 24 karat gold foil is applied over the figure's surface for a rich, lasting finish. The figure itself is not made of solid gold.
How should I clean a gold-foiled idol?
Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, polish and chemical cleaners, which can damage the foil.
Where should an idol be placed at home?
Idols are traditionally placed in the home mandir or puja room, facing east or west, on a raised and clean surface.
